Look in Dwell magazine in the back ad section. They usually have lots of window companies.

Most window manufacturers can provide these windows - since they are so large, I'd skip vinyl and go with wood clad. You will need to have a header installed to support the roof to span across all these new windows you want to install. Not sure what your ceiling heights are, but you're probably only looking at windows that are 6'-0" - 6'-8" tall - 6'-0" is a standard height. You proably want to leave a few inches of wall at the bottom for a base and so noones foot goes through the glass.

No cons for us. We're happy with the quality of the windows, which is probably important. We do orient our room toward the windows, so it affects our furniture arrangement (arranging the couches to take in the view). I'd certainly think about what the view would be like, too--for us, we like gardening and have planted things knowing they will be a focal point from within the house.

12:23 here. Ours are separate windows (with frames--so the panes of glass are somewhere between 6-12 inches apart), about 5 feet tall, 2-3 feet wide. The ones on either end can open, while the center ones cannot.

We are remodeling our old rambler and would like to put floor to ceiling windows covering the entire wall in the living room. Had anyone done such a project and would you share any info on pricing and referrals to companies doing this work? At this point we just want to estimate if it is even plausible within out budget, but have no idea where to start.
