Patel Bros. is good. There's also an Indian grocery across the street from the new Mom's location on Nebel. Next to the Halal meat shop.

Extra firm tofu. When you remove it from the package, drain, then press it on a plate with paper towels to drain some more. Cut into 3/4" cubes. Heat 2 tbsp. oil in a skillet; fry the tofu till brown, about 9-10 min. Add to curry.
Also, carrots are nice in curry. Leave them in big finger-size pieces.
I like peanut curry with white beans and sweet potatoes. I'm sure you could google a recipe.
There's an Indian restaurant in the same building where Trader Joes is in Bethesda. I'm blanking on the name, but you could probably pick up samosas and naan.

Cauliflower and potato are a stand alone dish. You could put in some canned garbanzo beans (chick peas) to add protein.
Naan and samosas you can pick up at Patel Brothers on Rockville Pike in Rockville.

Subject: Vegetarian Curry
I usually make a nice chicken curry and throw in some potatoes and cauliflower, which are very nice additions. Onions and garlic are in there too. Tomorrow I am having a vegetarian come over, so what are some other vegetablles ai could use that would compliment it and bulk it up without the chicken. Thanks for any ideas,
Also - does anyone know where I could pick up some great naan bread and samosas to make a real meal of it? We are in the Bethesda/Rockville area and I will also be up in Gaithersburg tomorrow. Thanks again!
