Or the Democrats, who believe in increased regulation (good for you) or expansion of access to legal services (good for you)? Maybe you should rethink which side your bread is buttered on.

In the mid 1980s the rich were given tax cuts and then fulfilled their end of the bargain -- unemployment went down.

In the early 2000s, the rich were given tax cuts. Result? An anemic labor market over the past 12+ years.

I'm far from the 99%, having never had a 6-figure income. But my wife and I are happily retired in the home we have owned for years, along with a place in the country, as compared to the small apartment I grew up in. So I join you in feeling blessed, and am glad to hear a one-percenter on DCUM who is not complainng about the possibility s/he might have to pay a bit more tax on the top bracket of a three or four hundred thousand dollar income.

Great article if you agree with its conclusions. But to call recognition that there is a disconnect in our economy, where the rich are benefiting and the middle and lower classes are losing ground "bashing the rich" is a craven attempt to draw attention away from the fact that the deck is stacked in favor of the rich. From Reagan to Bush2, there was a concerted effort to bring this about; that was the real class war! And it continues in the Romney-Ryan proposals.
