DH just turned forty and had a physical today. I'm 6 years younger and never thought that was a big difference, but after hearing about his physical and his colonoscopy consultation, I'm thinking it seems like a big gap in our current ages.

DH's parents are 8 years apart and mine are 7 (DHs are older). So it made me wonder if other people marry with similar age differences as their parents.

DH 4 years older than me

My mom is 3 months older

His mom got pregnant at 17, we don't talk about his dad

Wife 2 years older than husband.
Both sets of parents are the same age.

What is the purpose of this?

DH is one year older than me.

My parents are 6 years apart (mom is older).

FIL is 9 years older than MIL.

DH is 7.5 yrs older. His parents are the same, mil is the younger. My parents have a 2 yr age difference with dad older.

All three couples are less than six months apart in age.

I'm one month younger than DH
My mom is 3 years younger than my dad and I think MIL is 2 years younger than FIL.

Us: my DH is 8 months older

ILs: FIL is 5 years older

Parents: dad is 11 months older

Us: he is 8 years older

My folks: dad 6 years older than mom

ILs: Fil 3 years older than Mil

I am 5 months younger than DH.

DH is 4 years younger than me.
My father is 8 years older than my mother.
FIL is 1 year older than MIL.

I am 4.5 years older than spouse.

My parents: 6 months, mom was the older woman.

His parents: 5 years, father is older.

To clarify: I mean father in law is 4 years older than MIL, and my dad is one year older than my mom. Not inlaws are 12 years older than my parents.
