This is a complex position you are taking.

People see Romney and his wealth, his career, etc and they think if they vote for him somehow they themselves will then become Romney. But it doesn't work like that and Nov. 7th they will still either have no job or the same unskilled job they had on Nov. 6th.

also, I can't stand it when Romney says he is going to "create jobs". Presidents don't create jobs.

Really? Technically speaking throughout our nation's history, the president proposes legislation to Congress, which they in turn introduce, amend, pass it or let it die. Once the laws of the land are passed, it's also the executive branch's responsibility to ENFORCE the law.

When you think the president's job is to rally the troops and make us feel good, then you disqualify yourself from comprehending our nation's great history.

BTW, obvioulsy I cannot find it, but have been looking, but Senator Obama stated in his debates vs. Hillary et. all, that he was 'not going to get into specifics for the other side to tear down'. like I can't find it, but have been searching transcripts here and there, I have to hold out that the oppo researchers will find it some day.

I've actually never heard anything bad about his term as governor, please tell us some specifics. I assume you are somewhat exaggerating due to the strength of your feelings on him, but I would like to know how he was bad.

OP here. True, but the competent executive makes decisions and has the delegating and organizational skills to set agendas.

I just like presidents who have accomplished SOMETHING in life. I cannot think of the last candidate who has. Perot obviously. Before him who? Ike was 60 years ago. I'd rather err on the side of experience.

I don't know what to say to a person who evaluates a president this way. Perhaps you could try shedding your one dimensional stereotyped view of what "a leader" should look like. I agree with Obama more on the issues, but i just don't think he is a leader or an executive.
