I always park in the "Families w/ Children" or whatever they're called spots at Wegmans when I have my kids with me.

I parked in them when I was pregnant (sometimes before I was showing if I was really sick) and I park in them often now that I have an infant. I almost said something to a man who parked in one at the grocery store who was about 24, was obviously not pregnant and did not have a child with him, but I didnt.

I parked in an "expectant moms" spot once when going to Babies R us with my three kids, then 2 year old twins and 2 month old. There was construction blocking much of the parking lot and those were the only open spaces. There were signs that you could park in a neighboring store parking lot, but it was more than a block away, which seemed like a lot of work.

I know this wasn't great behavior and I'm not proud of it, but yeah, I did it.

Yes. I don't believe that non-disabled parking spots should be reserved for able-bodied populations. When I was pregnant, I didn't park in the "expectant mother" spots because I felt like it was hypocritical since I don't think they should exist.

I would never do that unless I was pregnant. The only people I have ever seen park in those spots are men (because they are stupid). I can't imagine a woman ever doing this.

Never, even when I was pregnant. Pregnancy is not a handicap and shouldn't be treated as such. I figure it can be used by someone who needs the space, not a healthy pregnant woman.

I did it once for a well baby visit at 4 months when there were no other parking spaces around. In a spot for moms.

Generally I leave them open if I can, because I assume someone may need it more than me.

No. I waited until I was hugely pregnant to park in the expectant moms spots, in keeping with the spirit of the spaces. I didn't want to take the spot from someone who WAS uncomfortably pregnant when I was only 11 weeks.

Never, but then I'm used to the rule that you never wait for a space, but take the first available that you find and walk. I've often followed another car into a parking lot, parked at the back and made it into the store before the first car while they sat and waited for a "close in" spot. So, for me, parking and walking is normal and I've never felt the need to take the close in spot. I would be mortified if me as an able-bodied person took up a spot for a pregnant woman. And note, I do drive a hybrid. I have no idea what that is about. Are there actually places that have reserved spots for hybrids? I've heard of HOV waiver, but parking spots? Seriously?
