Great that she is able to describe this so well. My adhd child describes it as "spinning," when she can't "stop and think."

Many kids relate well to metaphors to understand their SNs. It's great that she and the other PP's kid came up with their own!

(4 or 5 year old DS, before his ADHD diagnosis at 6).

That's what my daughter told me as she flitted from one painting to another at a museum this weekend. It's as cogent an explanation of ADHD as I've ever heard. She explained she feels like her mind just zigs and zags from one thought to another. She was recently diagnosed, and we're still working on finding the right medication.
