^^Oh, I thought of one more hummus that's pretty good. It's called Asmara or Asmars and is sold at Chevy Chase Supermarket.

Sabra has too much tahini in it for my taste. For grocery store, American style hummus I prefer Tribe. Tastes nice but bears no resemblance to hummus you get in the Middle East. Best Middle Eastern hummus in Bethesda is at Bacchus. Best Lebanese in general (and most authentic) is at Bacchus.

Sabra is the worst pre-made hummus I've ever had. Try Tribe instead. The one with roasted aubergine is yummy.

Do you live near one of the Lebanese Taverna markets? They sell their hummus, which is their restaurant hummus.

I've enjoyed the Trader Joe's White Bean hummus, and also their edamame hummus (neither is chick pea-based, though).

This brand of hummus is so yummy. It's available at Whole Foods. The caramelized onion flavor is particularly delicious. It's produced in Canada.

I like the one they sell at WF. I'm not sure if it's the Whole Foods brand or another, but I like it.

Why do I love hummus from restaurants but do not care at all for Sabra? Can anyone recommend an alternative? Most of my kitchen equipment (including blender and food processor) is in storage because we have our place on the market, so I'm not equipped for making my own at the moment.
