Fitbit links to myfitnesspal. I love mine. It lets me know exactly how many calories I can consume based on my activity level. I loved it so much I bought one for my mom so we could "compete" and motivate each other. Since then my aunt and cousin bought one so now we have our own little fitbit race.
I think it's better for walkers or newly active people. You can track nearly anything, but stairs, distance, steps and sleep are tracked automatically. For an extra fee ($50 for a year), you can activate the fitbit trainer, who will help you with your goals through more difficult of challenges. When I level out I plan on adding the trainer. In the last month, I've lost six pounds.
