Thank you, 13:53, for posting some information. That's all anyone was asking for, for crying out loud. And it is a real tragedy.

My child is at the affected center. An infant was found unresponsive in its crib - a real tragedy for all involved. It was an isolated and horrific tragedy. Licensing had no concerns with the quality of care and the center remains open for business today. I had no concerns whatsoever about sending my child back to school today.

The point is that the OP could simply email the parent who posted if she is so keen to know the details. To post here is simply cowardly.

Look, I'm on the MOTH listserve and the woman who wrote was tangential, so it's not like she was confiding and her confidence is somehow being broken. She also has no details (also in the post).

Frankly, if it had happened at any of our daycares, we would know about it. Something tells me this will work its way out. It's completely tragic, but I don't think the OP did anything wrong. Yeesh.

Correlation doesn't equal causation. Isn't that what you people say whenever someone tries to give you a dose of common sense?

Tacky my ass. We are concerned parents. We want details on which daycare and how it happened so we can make sure it doesn't happen to our child.

It's not tacky. If someone has a baby in daycare, it scares the shit out of them to hear stories like this.

This is beyond tacky. If you want to know what happened, why not email the person who posted, instead of broadcasting someone's tragedy anonymously on a public message board? I really don't see how this is your business.
