The very best are German flannel sheets from Garnet Hill. They are heavier and softer than all the others and they will last much longer. Don't waste your money on the thinner ones from LL Bean or Company Store. I have tried them all.

I've had good luck with Land's End flannel sheets. There is also an Amazon exclusive brand of Portuguese flannel sheets called Pinzon. They are excellent and reasonably priced.

Ha. Actually realized my eldest is almost 13 and they were on the bed when we brought her home from the hospital, so they're even older than that.

I have multiple sets (two for each bed) from the Company Store and they are great. They're very comfy and wear like iron. We still have some from a dozen years ago. They're smoother and faded now, but soft and still in good condition. No holes, tears, or pilling. Over the years some of the retaining ties inside the duvet covers of the old ones have broken off, but that's it.

I grew up in Maine, and I still keep my house at 60F overnight, like my parents do, so I always use flannel sheets in the winter. I usually do LL Bean, but I have also found holes.

At a lower price point, the Martha Stewart line from Macy's is a good fabric, cushy and not pilly.

I bought LL Bean a year ago and used them almost all winter. I like them and they are very soft, but I noticed two small holes in the fitted sheet. Then I noticed a coordinating hole in the top sheet so it's probably my fault some how. I have an old Eddie Bauer duvet from about 10-15 yrs ago and although it's ugly and I don't like it for that reason, it is well made and excellent quality.

Was in Costco last week and they had nice flannel sheets from Portugal. I personally don't like flannel sheets but all of my friends swear by the ones from Portugal.

Someone on this forum recommended buying flannel sheets on QVC.com! I am not to ashamed to admit that I bought a set from them for $25. King sized! They are a little thin, but very soft, made in portugal and so far have not pilled. I have owned much more expensive sets and they were not as well made.

The brand is Amadeus.

I have had flannel sheets from The Company Store and Garnet Hill. Loved them both. I had the higher end ones from The Company Store. They were so great that my ex and I argued about who got them when we divorced.

I'm looking at flannel sheets from either LLBean or The Company Store. Anybody have other suggestions? I've never ordered from The Company Store before and am curious about the quality. TIA
