That said, love the area for many other reasons, which is why we live out here.

Agree with this. But also the recommendation for Mussel Bar.

With an exception: Hank Dietle's. Great place. Can't guarantee you won't run into college students, though. But it's not a youngsters' bar--it's a real cross-section of Bethesdan humanity.

+2 - Hank's is great. Montgomery County's oldest bar - one of a kind!

8pm on a Saturday isn't a great bar time ANYWHERE.

Food Wine & Co. on Wisconsin Avenue (near the movie theater). Good food, and lots of over 35 crowd.

We had a great time sitting at the bar at Mussel Bar recently on a Saturday night.

I like the food at Blacks Bar & Kitchen, and their bar got a mention in the Washingtonian's "Best Bars."

Mon Ami Gabi or Cafe Deluxe. American Tap Room is also good, but sometimes can have an early 20's bar scene.

Redwood Bar & Restaurant (downtown Bethesda.)

Cesco (Woodmont Ave.)
It is also a restaurant.

Looking for suggestions for an "adult" bar in Bethesda. By adult I mean a place void of drunk college students. Can be part of a restaurant.
