If your "non-native-born" employees are here legally, wonderful. More power to you and them. If they are here illegally and you're contributing to this massive problem we have, I hope your business crashes.

You're plain wrong, PP. Americans will NOT do the work our immigrants are doing. Why do you think the crops rotted in the fields last summer when states enacted harsher rules for immigrant labor? Because every able-bodied American was already fully employed?

For whatever reason, this just caught my attention yesterday, when the "candidate" spoke it in public as a viable option. No one is going to willingly deport themselves from this country!

They will if we make it uncomfortable for them to be here. No Spanish, hire only Americans for landscaping, housecleaning, farm labor (yes, Americans who NEED WORK will do it, who do you think did it before the Mexicans? Then remove unemployment benefits for those Americans who refuse such work.), restaurant kitchen labor, etc.

If said Americans are Spanish or Hispanic, obviously that's great, before anyone starts with this being "against brown people." --snicker--- This is something to get illegals the hell out AND get more Americans working. Adios, Mexicans!!

There are many american students who find that education is cheaper abroad, many american professionals finding employment abroad, many us citizen children attending school in another land.
One very interesting article I found was on american workers going to work in china.

Romney did not coin the term. It's been around. Our government has no money to escort people back and so we tell them to self-deport. It's stupid really.

The native American's have been destroyed, so everyone in this damn country is an immigrant, except for those who were enslaved and brought here against their will. Sounds like vigilanties and rogue "police" will be endorsed/encourage further. Scary times from where I sit.

Sorry....don't have a link........he was speaking today......saw it on the news.....He said it, and then scrambled to say he was not in favor of deportation himself, although he did say that if he is elected he'd present a "permanent solution" for illegal immigration, which is just scary, imho.

Illegal immigrants are going to find there is no work here and "self-deport" themselves back to their home countries. Really. They are going to leave the U.S. on foot and walk back over the border home and celebrate that they are no longer here. WTH?
