Yes, but at least in VA sometimes there are signs that say you can't if "pedestrians are present." I've seen officers give tickets for this, even though the pedestrians were no where near the car.

Yeah, and most people will honk at your if you do NOT turn (if there is no sign prohibiting you from doing so). Atlhough I don't think you are required to do it.

YES! You can turn right on red (barring a prohibitive sign) in all three jurisdictions, DC, MD, and VA.

I can't say for certain about DC and MD, but I know you can in VA. I think you can in DC and MD as well. Actually, I think that you can in just about every state, although some localities may not allow it.

Is it OK to turn right on red (after you stop) if there is not a sign saying not to? I'm asking for VA, MD, and DC.
