Commissary--by not adventurous, I don't mean not good. It's great. Just a very standard, affordable American menu, with good drinks.

Pearl Dive Oyster Bar.

If you're really not that adventurous, Commissary. It's by the same folks as Logan Tavern (2 doors down), but significantly less pricey/pretentious.

There is also Churchkey which has more traditional bar food done nicely. You could also do Posto which is Italian. There is also there is a Kimpton Hotel on Rhode Island, Felix. It has blue chairs outside. Food is pretty typical bar food and the atmosphere is funky, though not crowded.

New poster here. Zentan isn't over-the-top adventurous. The chef is a celebrity chef who has been on Top Chef Masters. It's yummy food.

I have a friend coming into town and she is staying near Thomas Circle. Any nearby restaurants that would be fun on a Sunday evening? We will be drinking too. Thanks in advance
