Ewwww, didn't really need this, I already am grossed out by some library books. This could be a whole library problem, they could be multiplying in the books and getting into other books, GROSS!!!

I don't know for sure. I looked very briefly. But I know bed bugs reside In library books. What else do you think they could be? I'd love for them to be something else.

Mason Regional, but it was a hold book, so it has been all over recently. The book's home according to its jacket was Longfellow (sp?)

Ewwww! I actually scrub down all our library books w/ a Clorox wipe as soon as they come into the house because there is usually some kind of schmutz on the covers (I'm talking all kinds of books: kids, cooking, history, etc) We usually go to Patrick Henry in Vienna.

I will DEFINITELY check for bedbugs! Can you tell us which library you got them from?

Yikes!

If you want to prevent them from feeding, put a ring of vaseline around the feet of your beds. DH brought them home from a business trip in NYC a few years ago, and the exterminator told us we could do that. They cannot crawl through the vaseline, and therefore will not be able to bite. That is creepy though!!! Did you just open a page, and see them?

In the crevices. Looked like crumbs/debris, but I had heard of this before, so took it into bright light and looked closely and saw things squirming -- probably larvae or nymphs. Immediately took book outside, so can't really remember anything else. a little while later I went out and put it in a ziplock, and will probably put it in another bag still before I bring it back to the library. I will of course tell them. Not sure what their procedures are for dealing with infested books.

Just found bed bugs in a Fx County library book. It was only in the house about 2 hours, so hopefully it didn't infest my house. I'm washing/drying on hot everything I can think off that came into contact with it. Freaking out.
