I would never do berber or durable carpet in a bedroom, because I like soft carpets and like to sit on the floor to fold laundry, etc. Who wants to feel a hard berber when they get out of bed in the morning? Yuck.

we have wall to wall Berber in our bedroom - it's not hard at all ... not sure what you're thinking of. Worth investing in good quality and 100% wool.

Randolph in Rockville. Tons of remnants. We got a beautiful wool carpet custom cut to fit our room. We did it 6" off all four walls. We like showing some of our wood floor. Didn't want wall to wall. All in, it was about 800 for a 12 x 18 piece. Oh, and it is a very soft, wool with a tight weave - so not "plush" really, but really great feeling. Be sure to go with 100% wool

I did a really soft frieze for the upstairs level after having plush for years. I really like it. I'm not a fan of "durable" carpets in bedroom spaces - they just feel hard and industrial to me. (warning: this carpet is not especially cheap!)

Smartstrand from Mohawk. You can buy it at Lowes (or Home depot) for best price.

I'm trying to decide weather to go plush or durable. Please recommend your carpet (brand and where you bought it). Thanks!
