Better off. Was 25 when I voted (Obama). Have purchased a home, income has increased 30%, had a baby, will be making substantially more soon, stocks/funds have done very well.

I remember going uninsured while in college. I got a FT job in undergrad at 20, partially for health care coverage. I was so relieved that I can cover my daughter until 26. My now 23 yo sister was uninsured until the new law passed and was able to go back on our mother's insurance.

Are we personally better off? Yes. Although it always feels on the edge.

However, I believe the argument here is highly nuanced. There are too many factors involved to easily answer this question, which is why I hate this being used as a rallying cry.

I'm planning to vote for Obama even though the economy is still rather shaky because I truly believe his plans are better than Romney's for all our citizens.

Better off. Better job with higher salary and promotion potential. All my immediate family are healthy, and stock portfolio is healthy again.

The same. I am fortunate enough to have weathered the economic downturn. Not ahead, but not behind.

Better off because I got married and bought a house. Worse off because my husband and my government salaries have been frozen while tbe cost of everything else goes up. I don't blame Obama for all that though...

I keep trying to feel sorry for people in medical sales and failing.

And government contracting? Isn't that how people get rich?

I can't think of anyone who isn't better off, except Osama bin Laden.

Kind of ironic since the question is from the Romney campaign, and they are ripping off Ronald Reagan.

Worse off. Salary is down and supporting family members who cannot find work or are underemployed.

I'm better off.

We bought a beautiful house -- very low interest rates -- and I gave birth to a wonderful baby girl. I have been lucky enough to stay home with my kids, my husband has been getting steady raises. Our stock portfolio is up.

I'm better off. My cousin is back home from the war, and small business has access to credit.

Find Romney's use of this to be laughable.

1) He's no Reagan.

2) I think most people are, in fact, better off. Or, if they're not, they know they would have been a lot worse under the other guy.
