Better yet OP, why don't you add anyone who stands up for anyone wrongly convicted of a crime.

And the Dixie Chicks, I know they have been really involved in this as well.

So this is the first time you've heard of the West Memphis Three, OP? Really?

I think you need to do a bit more research because there is absolutely no way those those men were guilty.

SMH.

sounds like you don't have a clue what went on there, either. your understanding of the case if likewise very superficial. it's imprudent of outsiders (like johnny depp) to get invested into court cases where they simply cannot know the truth with any kind of certainty.

And Peter jackson, too - scratch seeing The Hobbit off your list.

I haven't seen the movies, but did some background reading on this. Horribly sad story. I don't know enough to proclaim the 3 obviously innocent, but there is plenty of evidence they were innocent, and a lot of people (including the family of one of the boys) who absolutely believe this case was horribly mishandled and the wrong people put in jail while the real killer is still free.

There is some strong feeling out there that the step father of one of the boys is the guilty party.

And yet it seems there is no desire on the part of the police or DA to reopen the case. There is something really wrong here, and I don't think it's Johnny Depp.

Nice try OP, they're innocent. Even parents of one of the victims believes this.

You are so wrong OP. Educate yourself about the facts of this case including that there was nothing that linked these guys to the murders and they were convicted on false And. Coerced confessions.

They had to take they Alferd plea, or Damion would have been put to death.

Are you insane? Insane!

They did not kill anyone. If you get your news from yahoo, there is really no hope for you anyway.

Seriously, it's a pretty compelling case for their innocence.

Have you seen the "Paradise Lost" documentaries? The films definitely make a compelling case for the innocence of the three young men.

This is just beyond weird - http://news.yahoo.com/johnny-depp-shares-ink-damien-echols-070009291.html

Echols, Jessie Misskelley, and Jason Baldwin spent 18 years in prison for the 1993 murders of three 8-year old boys in West Memphis. All three were released after agreeing to an Alford plea that allowed them to maintain their innocence while pleading guilty.

I used to like him. Now I can't look at him.
