We did FCC on the Orlando flight, got an upgrade and DD was terrific. She loved all of the snacks. Go for it!

Me neither!

However, whenever I flew business class with my kids, my kids were always well-behaved. Perhaps it's because the seat in front of them was too far away for them to kick, and they had more room to play. My younger ones always slept.

I wouldn't waste a free upgrade on a two hour flight.

If you can manage the kids, great. And by "manage," I mean limit (not eliminate) crying, keep them entertained and relatively quiet, don't let them run around/kick seats/climb over everything. If you can't, please skip it. I would be seriously annoyed if I had used miles/got upgraded to first and then had to deal with the annoying kid behaviors (and by that I really mean irresponsible parenting - I don't blame the kids) I see in coach.

Totally doable! Portable DVD player or iPad loaded with kids shows will be a lifesaver. I've done this cross-country with an infant and 2-year-old in coach multiple times. It wasn't fun, but you'll be fine!

Yep, it is. Bring dollar store toys and portable DVD player...BTDT. Have fun!

Go for it. It's a short domestic flight so first class just means you get better snacks. Most of the other passengers will have also gotten free upgrades.

Be polite, but don't cater to the other passengers. They don't get to choose who sits with them. Have fun!

I can get free upgrade to first class on the flight to Orlando in November. The flight is around two hours. I know some FC passengers don't like to see kids, esp. babies in first class. But I think most passengers on the flight to Orlando are families since Orlando is the theme park destination. So maybe they won't mind. Any thoughts?
