He has a folksy warmth. He also doesn't have a filter. I think we all have a relative like him and find him familiar.

To lose his wife and daughter like that, and then be able to continue in public life without any real hint of cynicism takes something extra, I think. Maybe it's extra grit, or extra optimism.

He's real. He's a mensch. And he's gone through a lot. Lost his first wife and daughter in a car accident. I like him. And I like his wife too.

My first political experience was volunteering on his campaign in 1996. He later wrote my recommendation to be a Clinton white house intern. So, yeah, I like him a lot . His family is awesome, too. I have a picture of me with joe in my living room!

Just curious... he's kind of a tool, but he seems a little more real than most of these stiffs, his boss and the Republican ticket included. I don't mind the gaffes, I'd rather have a politician who occasionally says what he thinks instead of reading from a script. Don't get me wrong - I wouldn't vote for him at the top of the ticket, but I don't understand why there is always this negative vibe about him. I think he's an asset to Obama who may be brilliant but has a bit of a cold fish thing going on.
