This is OP. To be clear: I'm most certainly not planning to vote Republican, no danger there. I get the reasons why someone would object to the vote, think it's about the clumsy voice vote and the principal at stake (I don't agree that a foreign nation has no place in the platform - for instance, it has in the past specified MFN for china, etc, right?). But I'm with you on separation of church and state. Just wish it came across better.
