I was really impressed, too, having had pretty low expectations. I hadn't actually heard Lilly Ledbetter's story (or awesome Alabama accent) or Tammy Duckworth's either. "I continued to try to fly the helicopter until I passed out." for one, I don't know how to fly a helicopter, for two, if one of my legs is destroyed, I'm probably passing out right then and for three, if both of my legs are destroyed, and my arm, and I'm able to remain conscious... Wow. Plus she gave all respect to her fellow soldiers who got her out and saved her life. And that mother whose daughter had had three open heart surgeries, and now they wouldn't have to stress so much because of Obamacare? GAH!

Funny you should use that imagery, that's exactly how I will imagine him from now on. I had an immense amount of respect for him but he has slowly whittled away at it. He isn't very nice to constituents at events and I have seen him act rudely on more than one occasion.

I am surprised that they put him on prime time. That guy with his finger on the 6-second delay must have been panicking.

And doing something about the crime spree of epic proportions. Obviously, consolidating districts and shutting down stations has not helped with the crime issues in Chicago right now. He is an epic fail as mayor.
