The USA shouts were not aimed at the woman onstage. There was a rebellion of Ron Paul delegates against a decision not to seat Paul delegates from Maine, and the USAs were meant to shout them down. Except for that the only "generosity" he shows is forced on him by his church. I doubt he has a truly gracious or caring bone in his body for anyone outside of his privileged, white world.

There's no there there. Is anyone going to move past platitudes and actually talk policy? I can't wait for the debates - I predict that Mitt will commit more gaffes and blunders trying to actually articulate policy than can be imagined. And Ann Romney's speech was so pandering to women that I wanted to vomit, not to mention protest on behalf of all the enlightened men in my life who are involved fathers and equal partners to their wives. No less than Peggy Noonan gave Ann Romney and Chris Christie a big "meh."

Yes I saw that on huff post and tpm. CNN confirmed an incident but did not elaborate.

Of course the republicans are going to be appalled, but they probably don't see how they created a climate in which guys like this end up as delegates to the convention.

This is horrible. Ann Romny was horrible, Chris Christie is not the best either.

Let me get back to you. I'm choking on my own vomit right now. This is like a giant SNL skit.

I know this will be probably be moved to the political forum, but just remarking here (kind of as a cultural zeitgeist). Anyone watching this? I wonder who they think they're talking to? Are they trying to reach out? Their use of non-whites just seems like tokenism.
