I agree - those Hampden Christmas Lights are spectacular! But park your car a few blocks away and walk down - you can get stuck in the car for quite some time - as I found out a few years ago! : ) Also, the shops in that area are super cute - totally Bal'more, hon!

Can't remember when it is, but there is a parade of lights in the Harbor (boats sailing in with Christmas lights). I'm sure it will be on the website the PP posted. Agree with 34th street. We used to live a few blocks from there and would walk down the street most evenings with the dog. One of the things I miss the most from Baltimore!

Also check out waterfrontpartnership.org closer to that time-- they organize and post about all kinds of inner-harbor happenings.

Hampden Christmas Lights. 34th Street near Johns Hopkins sort of. World famous.

Every weekend at Baltimore Train Musuem before Christmas they have massive toy train exhibits for the kids. Some huge layouts set up in the roundhouse. Worth seeing.

DH has an event Saturday night in Baltimore a week or two before Christmas. Is there anything fun and holiday-ish to do in Baltimore that would make it worth going up as a family for the weekend? We would do the Aquarium but since it's so close to Christmas I'd love to be doing something in the spirit of the season.

It would be DH, 2.5yr old DD and me.
