Jeff, I'm a DC urban mom and I think it's time to get rid of the sf urban mom thread from the nanny forum - now she/he is just getting free advertising and advice. It's sort of ridiculous. The topic was cross-posted in the Nanny Forum. We generally prohibit cross-posting, especially between two of our busiest forums. The post was not about a parenting issue, so it didn't belong in General Parenting. Arguably, the post was an advertisement, which again in prohibited. Finally, it is not exactly good form to use a website to attempt to attract that website's users to a new website. I am willing to tolerate that in the Nanny Forum to an extent, but my tolerance has limits.

In short, there were plenty of reasons. Take your pick.
