15:52 most Bank parents are like you - they never even look at other options because convenience wins out. Look, the center is ok but it's nothing special. It's run by cclc who runs plenty of other daycares and they are all run the same way. The "Reggio" thing is just a marketing ploy. It's not appropriate for infants and toddlers in practice nor was it ever designed to be. They might as well say "learn through play" but then sucker parents like wouldn't be as impressed. As far as documenting, again, lots of daycares take pics all day of the kids, write logs of what kids do daily etc.

You get are standard care at an inflated rate due to convenience. There is nothing wrong with that but don't get carried away believing you are getting some other great benefit from the center.

A Reggio curriculum? I went to visit and was not impressed by their version of Reggio Emilila. I had my first child at a Reggio school in Maine and when we were touring for daycare for my third in DC I was excited to see that they offered this, however I can tell you that it is in no way quality reggio. It is, however, a good daycare for the area.

Meh, I have been in the centers and know plenty of colleagues with kids enrolled there. There is nothing special about them. Federal centers are comparable to the Bank. The employees at the Bank child care are no better or no worse than any other large area daycare. The center is not run by the Bank and the Bank has no input into staff hiring or management practices of the center.

and you know this how exactly?

From personal experience I can tell you that this is one of the BEST centers I have had my children at. They run a Reggio curriculum and the teachers and all staff have been absolutely the best.

I'm sure she toured it and know families with kids there.

There are no child care subsidies for World Bank Staff.

The child care center is ok - it's run by a mgmt company so it's basically comparable to a fed daycare center.

I didn't use it because I felt it was not worth the money.

No. It is great but expensive and hard to get in to.

Do World Bank employees get a childcare subsidy regardless of where they enroll their kids for childcare/preschool? I heard that they do since many of the foreign nationals do have state provided school starting at age 2 or 3.

It's not subsidized and it's very good. We absolutely loved it. But it's only open to Bank staff.

Hi everyone. I'm having trouble finding out whether the WB subsidizes the cost of childcare at its on-site center. Does anyone know, or have experience with the center?

Thanks!
