I suspect that some people talk themselves out of believing that the illness is lifestyle related, but for the most part, it is obvious.
Friend's father has heart disease that is secondary to sleep apnea that came as a result of obesity. His medical costs in the last 12 months have been over 120K.
For the most part, it is not obvious, even to medical professionals.
