Yep, PP here and that's what my sister has -- the onion wizard. Comes apart and fits in the top rack of the dishwasher. Easy peesy.

Ah, just googled it. I think id still like the onion wizard better. We use it 3x week.

Food processor parts all go in the dishwasher as well.

The only person I know who bought a slap chop was extremely dies appointed with it. It kinda smooshed the veggies more than chopped them.

Yes and I love it for onions and other jobs where I need a fairly fine chop.

Yes-I hate it. Get a food processor.

I am sure there are some good videos that will teach you technique. Then, buy twenty pounds of cheap vegetables ( turnips, parsnips, etc) and practice. I spent hours as a teenager working prep in a restaurant. I am not a great cook, but I can chop faster than a food processor ( and no cleanup). PP is correct. Get a good knife and keep it sharp. You can learn.

I have one and I only use it for walnuts. Does not seem like it would be good for anything else - maybe onions and garlic.

Food prep does take a lot of time. Food processors are not worth it - i only use it if i am making carrot salad or carrot cake - otherwise I just zen up and chop the veggies with my favorite knife. A good GOOD knife does make a difference- if you don't have one perhaps consider making an investment.

I have something similar but the only thing it chops is garlic. So much faster to use than individually chopping cloves and then my fingers don't smell like garlic for the rest of the night. I do enjoy it a lot for that purpose.

Yes.. ditto the PP with the chopping w/ the attachment to the food processor. It really works and saves soooo much time!

We had one but I broke it accidentally. I thought it hurt but dh loved it. I do love chopping with the attachment to the cuisinart.

I am sooo slow cutting veggies. That is part of the problem with prepping dinner after work. We have a food processor but a whole machine with all the parts to wash seems silly most nights. The slap chop is tempting. Any one have it or something similar? Worth it?
