That is probably a good argument against having an anonymous forum. It promotes childish name calling and even adult-on-adult bullying in some cases. I am guilty as well, but when I think about it, I am not proud.
You're probably right, but on the other side, anonymity allows for honest opinion. In my real life, I like to avoid drama and flaming and don't like to hurt feelings, so I'll avoid answering questions such as "do I look fat?" or "is my child a brat?" when I really really want to say, "YES you could stand to lose some lbs" and "YES your little boy is a monster". (I exaggerate)
Anyway, I find I get the most honest answers on DCUM and I believe it's because of the anonymity.
