I know several families there because our Girl Scout service unit includes Brookfield. Everyone I have met has been happy with the school. Of course, these are involved parents, so I may be getting a rosy perception. I think the surrounding neighborhood is nice (and apparently has a pretty good pool) and the school always looks well kept from the outside (I pass it several times a week for various reasons).

Visit for yourself - I don't think it should be ruled out just because it is Title I. That just means there are a higher proportion of lower-income kids than some surrounding schools.

Talk to people at the school and if possible in the neighborhood you are exploring before making a decision based only on numbers. Brookfield is a Title 1, or priority school, but that also means there is a lot of additional support there for ALL students. I know many people are happy with it, but you need to go and explore for yourself, not go by just demographics and hearsay. Actually, that's true for all schools, not just this one.

Brookfield rates low on several metrics. You may want to look into it more, if that helps.

Anyone know anything about this pyramid? We are looking at a house in the Walney Road area. Thanks!
