If you don't vote, you don't get to complain about who is in office. You let other people make the decision for you, so you're stuck with the consequences of your own inaction.

Ok. But you still need to vote. There is no checkbox for thoughtful, intelligent dissenter on principle. You junior be counted in a pool that includes the lazy, the wingnut who won't vote for a Muslim or a Mormon, and the person who didn't know how to work the voting machine.

I think you've made some good points here, especially about Ryan. Whether in agreement with his ideas or not, the guy is passionate, energetic, and articulate.

He is giving me the impression that he simply wants to beat Obama.
Also, I don't get a sense of passion about anything in particular.
He seems so dry.
I have no plans to vote this year because I d not like either Obama or Romney, but it would have been nice if Romney could make a case about why we should want him.
