We RSVPd to a wedding and then didn't show b/c I had a miscarriage that morning. Although the bride knew, she has not spoken to us since.

Someone RSVPed to my wedding that she was bringing 3 guests (I have no idea who they would be). I just dealt with it and allocated accordingly. It was very awkward when neither she nor her guests showed up, and I was left with a half-empty table. I haven't really heard from her since.

We had our wedding in key west with very close friends and family only, no 'extras'. We had three people ask us if they could bring a date and we said no due to the small wedding we wanted to have and locale, budget, etc. all three brought the others and no gifts, which is beyond tacky. At any rate, we were really irritated at the time but what do you do at your own wedding? You move on and get over it. It has been 7 years for us and I no longer care.

Thanks guys, I never thought of the funny part about it but from now I will try to just let it go and laugh!Still so annoying though.

She is a total moron. We had some people write in extra people in their RSVPs, and we called them up and explained that they were the only ones invited, not their visiting friends, grandmas, step-children, hangers-on, etc. Some people, I swear, were raised in a barn.

Some people just do not 'get' that a wedding is a formal, catered affair. A friend of mine had another friend bring along someone to her wedding and we laugh about the wedding crasher to this day. Turn it into a funny story...that's all you can do.

Where did they seat?

My DH and this woman have been friends/workmates for about 10 years now.
We invited her and her husband to our wedding and they RSVP saying they would attend.
To our surprise on the day of the wedding she walked in with 2 friends(who we didn't know).She didn't ask us before nor did she bring any gift or say thanks for inviting me.
This left us so annoyed.DH decided it was time for him to cut off the friendship because he felt disrespected.Since then we cut off completely and haven't heard from her either.Luckily DH found another job .
Although we moved on I am still disturbed as to how this friend would come to our wedding with 2 other guests not on our list.Wow!People are so NOT Polite.
