I've never encountered this before. Both DH and I recall having to get our own school supplies (e.g., pencils, paper, etc.) but having other things provided by the school (e.g., glue, scissors, etc.). Is it a budgetary constraint of Fairfax County, and so the cost is passed on to the "consumer"?
TIA.
Rising kindergarten parent. When we visited their we're different stations that kids rotated between learning activities and each station had the supplies needed instead of the kids having to get them between each rotation. Just for a sense of the cost all of the supplies for my kindergartener bought through the PTA pack was $28.
Also in my childhood we had to buy the glue and scissors too, so while pooling is new to me, the school not providing glue isn't.
