Cameron's Seafood is in Silver Spring too...a bit more of a hole in the wall, it's a market with picnic tables outside, but very good.

OP here, I have tried Cameron's and love their oyster po' boy. Low key or fine dining it makes no difference to me. I'll have to try Crisfield's.

If you want to travel it's worth a trip to Cantler's for crabs-- great location/atmosphere (for a crabhouse) and good crabs.

Freddy's Lobster and Clams in Bethesda has a pretty good lobster roll and is one of the only places around here where I will order steamed clams. Luke's is also at Bethesda Row now.

If you want mussels there is Granville Moores or the Mussel Bar (I'm not a huge fan of the Mussel Bar but some people like it).

I like the Oceanaire in DC. I went there for my birthday one year and it was terrific.

Black Salt in Palisades - there is a fresh fish market in the front of the restaurant. It is pricey but good. Also, River Falls Seafood in Potomac has excellent fresh fish, shrimp, etc, and I think they recently opened an adjacent restaurant although I have not been there (yet!).

OP here and I've tried Steamers. not too bad but not much of a fresh selection. Legal Seafood is the best out of my area so far not much selection to choose from except chain restaurants. I'll check out Passion Fish.

Passion Fish in Reston Town center is one of my favorite places. You can check their menu online and see if you like it.
