I'm not sure where you are located but here are two bakeries. Cake love has mutiple locations but their cake is low sugar, not sugar free.
I've purchased low sugar cupcakes for my grandmother, who is diabetic, and she enjoyed them.

Good luck.

If you want something sweet and don't want to add sucrose, you are either going to have to use artificial sweeteners or give up the dream of cake.

I'm sorry if 16:26 can't have cake. As an adult, you might be willing to do artificial sweeteners, but baked goods are based on particular chemical reactions, so you may still be out of luck.

Let me google that for you...

OP's post asks for bakeries, not recipes.

NP here: I'm actually hoping someone will post with a valid recommendation. For health reasons, my diet's been restricted - no sugar or dairy or caffeine - basically, anything delicious, but I'd LOVE to have something that at least reminds me of cake. Something, in other words, that fakes cake. Pun intended.

+1

a non sugared baked item is bread or biscuits.

Now I've seen it all. Just give him a rice cake.

Word. We are the resident mean sugar limiting family, but it's birthday cake. Cake. Let the kid have sugared cake.

Either let the kid be a normal kid or continue on your path of self righteous control freakness in order to climb the arbitrary totem pole of sanctimommies at the deprivation of your child (which can only last another year or so anyway).

OP here, your comment is so not necessary. Just trying to have a positive happy conversation while I'm planning my son's 1st birthday. He is turning one, not five. I'm not saying he'll never have sugar, but I would prefer to keep refined sugars and other crap away from him for now. Thanks.

Ok fine. I got carried away with the irony that it is actually a cake we're talking about. But the no sugar thing seems so arbitrary to me and a means to one up other mothers. I also find zero sugar tolerance silly because it's not sustainable and everything in moderation...

To compensate for my snark, I suggest making your own cake. Try something like a banana bread recipe with a lower sugar buttercream frosting.

OP, how are you defining "cake"? I'm assuming you don't want icing. Can you just make a quick bread in a bundt pan or something? Muffins?

Sorry if this is a duplicate post, I didn't see any recent ones on this topic.

My son's 1st birthday is coming up and he's never had sugar other than naturally occuring sugars in fruit and fruit purees I make him. He's never had juice either, and he doesn't even like super sweet fruit combinations. So I would prefer not to give him a super sugary cake.

Anyone know of any pastry shops that make sugar free cakes?? I'm going to have a regular cake for everyone else but I'd like a smaller cake for him and his little buddies that's sugar free.

If its organic, that's even better.

Thanks!
