We went there for Father's Day b/c we had a gift card. There were kids there. My dd wore a casual dress and ds wore a golf shirt and khakis. My kids are fairly well behaved in restaurants so they were comfortable there. But it was rather dark and isn't the most kid-friendly place. Dh and I thought the quality had gone down -- although it was our first visit in years.

They have excellent oven-broiled tomatoes. At least they used to, haven't been in nearly 5 years. All of their sides are served family-style. I think it's way better than Applebee's, moderately better than Outback.

What is good steak? I ask because I happen to love Applebee's 9oz sirloin. (I hate Outback's steaks though.)

Standard steakhouse fare with huge portions. Side dishes are all extra. You can probably check out the menu online. I always think of it as middle america style/business dinners. Nothing fancy. I don't normally see kids in steakhouses but I only go for business lunches or dinners during the week.

I think it's on par with Outback. Maybe with more window dressing.

You'll see people there in everything from work clothes to dressed up to casual (neat jeans, nice top). If it's a Fri/Sat people may be a little dressier.

Best steak in DC is at Bourbon.

I would not bring young children. The restaurant is a big ripoff. The food is not good and the service is poor. If I want a good steak, I cook it at home!

That it's like Applebee's, only (inexplicably) more expensive.

Okay, that's a bit of help. Dress code: anything, really. What's good...steak. Seriously. Bring kids? Depends on the age but I wouldn't if I didn't have to.
