Wait, were these words actually uttered or are you making this up. He actually said "as an Anglo-Saxon". Really?
One of his advisers said it. Much like the John Sununu thing, his campaign is using proxies to say the dirty stuff.

Heh heh. Just wait till he's president and the Mormon leadership comes out of the woodwork to give him his marching orders and he starts lecturing us on how as a Mormon, he understands America the way the rest of us heathens don't...

It's starting to look like SP's big foreign policy tour.

There's no easy way to demonstrate foreign policy acumen in England and Poland, either, since WWII has been over for almost 70 years. Israel is the hoop every candidate must jump through.

He's just trying to look the part and stay out of trouble. And so far, he's 0 for 2.

So much for his sumer break from controversy. In one day he managed to piss off most of England:

I totally forgot about the Olympics. Well that brings up the inevitable:

If Obama shows up at the Olympics, expect the post that he's "tone deaf" for wasting valuable time while Americans are out of work.

If Obama does not show up at the Olympics, expect the post that he's unpatriotic and wants America to fail.

And if he sends Michelle, it's a huge boondoggle that is a horrendous waste of tax dollars in this time of spiraling deficits. Also, her garments will either be too extravagant or not befitting a First Lady, depending on whether they are expensive or inexpensive.

Mittens wants to bask in Olympic glory, reinforce the story that he "saved" the Salt Lake Olympics, and look presidentially-coifed in the VIP stands. Not sure whether he'll hang around for the dressage event.

What is with this trip? He says he isn't making any announcements on foreign policy. He says he's there to "learn". He's had eight years to decide his approach to foreign policy, and while I could maybe understand the Israel leg, Poland? England? Really?

Is he running from the tax thing?

Is he ducking for cover while his staff gets busy attacking Obama for not looking Anglo Saxon enough?

I see no other reasons for this trip other than to get out of the hot box for a while. If so, he's not ready for the White House and he never will be.
