It's not NOVA, but the BWI loop trail is nice. Some wooden bridge spots, but otherwise lovely and skatable.

Thanks. I was hoping maybe there was a trail somewhere that's flat, but that might be difficult considering we're in the rolling hills of VA. I loved skating on the VA Beach boardwalk and it was an awesome workout, but also fun because there were a lot of things to look at.

Big, empty, decently-paved parking lots are best. Even parking garages, if they are big enough and you have access to the top level. So, someplace like an office building as long as you're there on the weekend. Or a school that is out for the summer (and is usually empty by 5pm) - those are often your best bet.

Any good, flat surface places to rollerblade in NoVA? I am still working on my skills, and while I skate well, I am not confident enough to handle downhills I would love to still be outdoors if possible.
