Wow I thought the welfare state was supposed to drag them into poverty.

And that over regulation was supposed to stifle business. Instead it kept them from going nuts with mortgage back securities and do no housing bubble. Who'd a thought???

Hey, but at least here in the greater DC area we still have lower unemployment than Canada. I am sure that our houses are bigger and that we drive more BMWs too.

Aren't they also higher on the happiness scale, too? And they have universal healthcare. What's not to like? Maybe they need to put up some fences and set up border control to keep unwanted Americans out!
