Eastern Europe - nobody I knew growing up did this. Moved to the US, had kids, and now both me and American DH do it, not sure why - it just seemed like the thing to do at the time. I don't see it going beyond a certain age, but we haven't reached that point yet

I do. My parents kissed me on the lips until I was uncomfortable with it and I suspect I will do the same. I'm a white 3rd generation (both sides) American.

We do kiss on the lips.

Born and raised in the US. Ukranian/German/Anglo descent. Mine and DH's families are very different on many things but both sides kiss babies and young children on the lips.

Country of origin and/or ethnicity please... Someone in another thread said that it's a cultural thing, so I guess that info has bearing.

We do kiss on the lips in my house; I'm Italian but born in here in the States.
