I will say that he doesn't sound like a great prospect, the way you describe him. But again, could just be insecurity and awkwardness.

this. . And unfortunately in my many years of dating, I had experiences where someone seemed very interested, but they weren't. Or were only interested as far as their options went. EG. another option came down the road and they took off. Save your energy for someone who genuinely likes you and shows it by asking you out and treating you nicely. ANd don't drink too much when dating--it messes with your judgment about character! (BTDT)

I figured that was a joke but it got be thinking because he did mention drugs and his friends addiction he went into this crazy rant. Maybe I was just drunk, maybe I'm going crazy from not getting laid in months or I need meds but the end of the night was so fucking odd. We talked like friends the entire night and then he suddenly has to bounce but puts his number in a lady's Phone then mine? What guy does that unless he either trying make a good impression but is an idiot, wants to bang that woman or was just being polite to both of us and was heading out to Meet his fuck buddy. I just don't get it, I've never had a guy do that and I can't help but jump to crazy conclusions because it's just some fucking random.

Nobody ever started off the story of how they met their husband with "We had two really weird encounters in a bar, the second one of which made me think an older woman sitting next to us at the bar was his drug mule because he interacted so strangely with her." I mean come on!

To be honest I don't remember what he said exactly but it was weird and he put his number in her phone. He didn't ask either of us for our numbers.

Yea, I'm usually very observant but was pretty buzzed by the end of the night and something did seem completely off. That whole drug mule comment really hit me, idk why but makes sense in a crazy way. Can someone elaborate more on the drug mule stuff. I wasnt expecting anything to come from this meeting and wasn't planning on keeping in touch until he gave me his number but the whole number exchange weirded me out.

You got his because he is is interested in you and leaving you to decide if you are open to seeing him again. Giving the other woman his number is a bit strange to do it right in front of you, unless he works in a field that he might be able to help her out, or he just thought that she might need a friend in the big bad city.

While it is possible he was trying to pick her up, I don't think he would do it right in front of you like that.

I went to a local bar to meet up with a group of coworkers and arrived early. I decided to wait at the bar, when I went sit the guy at the end was staring at me then said hey. It took me a few moments to realize who it was because I was caught off guard. It ended up being a guy that I went to HS with and had a huge crush on but never spoke to. I had run into him a few months previously and initiated conversation because I was drunk and surprised to see him. Well that Convo was awkward mostly because he made no sense (prob drunk). I left that interaction feeling werid and I guess sad because I was really attracted to him. Anyways, he ends up starting a conversation with me and we talk for 3 hours. I blew off my coworkers and just had some beers with him. We never had a silent moment and I really enjoyed talking to him. Towards the end an older woman (50s) sitting next to me struck up a Convo with us and told us we were a cute couple. After explaining the situation, we redirected the topic to her and found out she was staying at a hostile for one night because her hotel was booked and she was new to the city. She commented again on how cute we were together and that's when the guy excused himself. I caught his eye at the other side of the bar and he gave me an odd look. I continued you talking to the lady until he returned. He stood next to me and said he had to leave and then started his goodbyes. This is when it got werid, He gave the woman his number I'm assuming because she was sweet and didn't know anyone then he grabbed my phone and inserted his number. I hugged him bye and shortly later said bye to the lady. I guess when he stepped away he paid for both mine and the woman's tab which was very sweet.

I'm 25 and just got out of a 4 yr relationship so dating and meeting ppl is very new to me but what the hell was the reason for him to give this woman his number? why did he not ask for mine and just gave his? To clarify this woman was not attractive and I really think he was trying to be sweet but I'm at a loss. Is he actually interested in me or just being polite?
