i like to read about people's lives and experiences, so i do read them. every life is special and worthy.

I'm an academic. When I was in grad school, I read them to figure what jobs might be on the market.

Off and on. When I was in my 30s I learned of the death of a former boyfriend in an accident this way. Devastating.

I read them sometimes. I guess I figure someone loved these people, and it's nice to see what made them so special.

It's a peculiar thing I know, but I do it. Today in the Post there was a notice for a 39 year old mom who died of breast cancer and left a 6 year old and 2 year old. It kills me just thinking about it.

I read for the causes of death almost as if I can become aware of some of the rarer diseases I could do something to ward them off. Not really rational.
I also like reading about the interesting lives some people have.

Why do you read them?
