Subject: At which hospitals can you get thyroid surgery?
I had half of my thyroid removed at Shady Grove in Gaithersburg. I went to a surgeon (in Germantown) who specializes in Thyroid surgery who regularly does them and specializes in it. I dont remember his name though (it was 11 years ago). Surgery went well, no cancer. One overnight in the hospital and released the next day.

I think you're better off finding a surgeon who is skilled/experienced in thyroid surgery and then go with the hospital s/he has privileges at. Most hospitals probably have surgeons on staff who *can* do thyroid surgery, but seriously find someone who specializes in thyroid/parathyroid surgery. Good luck!

I have a close friend who had surgery at Hopkins. Did her research and it was the best option around. I don't know the specific surgeon's name though.

A little further out, but I'm asking for a friend who lives in Damascus.
look up hospitals on google maps in your area. then go to the hospital website and look at their surgery section.
