Just recently, I stimmed 10 days at high doses and all but 1 of my eggs were immature. It was an epic failure. But, as another PP mentioned, you really can't compare your body with anyone else's. It's all about how quickly and how strongly you respond to the drugs.

I am a great responder but my body moves slow! I stim for around 12-13 days. I don't think more days means much.

What would be the reason for the range of days? Is it that generally poorer responders stim for longer and those who respond better stim for less days?

Hi, I'm OP....I ended up stimming for 10 days and triggered on 11. I was worried since during a previous successful IVF with another clinic I only stimmed for 8. Anyway, had retrieval today and things went very well, so I guess it worked out ok! Goes to show that it varies, even for the same person! Thank you for all of your responses. Hopefully we'll get good news tomorrow with fertilization.

Eight days for me. Twelve for my partner. Both successful. It really depends on the individual. As PPs have said, you are in the range. Dont worry. Best of luck to you!

I was told going in that I would doing 10 days minimum. I was a slow responder, no real action in the ovaries until around days 7 or 8. On day 10, dr called me to tell me to do at least one more night of stims. So I did day 11, called me next day and said one more and thats it. 12 total. Managed to get 6 eggs. Pregnant with one now!
It really is a day to day to thing, especially at the end of stims. Just do everything you can to clear you work calendar cause its the same issue with transfer. You just dont know if its 3 or 5 days (and some people on this board had 2 or 7 days!). Hang in there and trust that your dr is really analyzing your daily bloodwork or sono.

Actually, you can stim even longer -I did 20 days. I was a poor responder and the RE kept going and going on the highest doses of drugs. Sadly, when you go up to that extreme, the eggs are often not good (whether it's the eggs, themselves, or the drug regimen is questionable). If you are within the 14 day normal range, I think you have nothing to worry about -think of it more like some women's bodies are ready to ovulate on day 10, others on day 15.

My protocol says anywhere from 10-12 days, plus or minus a couple days.

I stimmed for 14 my first IVF round and it was successful.

I'm on day 2, and my doctor said anywhere for 8-14 days was normal.

Eleven. But this is solely dependent on your body and your response to the your particular drug regimen. Don't feel like you have to compare yourself to others with this.

It's possible, but that is what the monitoring is for.

Am on day 10....not expecting to go to day 11, but is 10 too much? Doctor has gone for the day so now I'm obsessing a bit. I just feel like I should be ready to trigger by now. Is it possible for the eggs to get too mature?
