...and they are so laser-focused on other kids' appeals and sccores that they are coming only to the Virginia Public Schools forum, and not checking out Off Topic at all, on which at least half of the posts for the last few days have been about the outages.

It defies common sense that a legitimate poster from overseas is so intensely interested in the exact timing of when the letters are mailed, but is simultaneously somehow blissfully unaware of the extensive power outages in the area caused by the storm. What, they come immediately to dcum to anxiously ask for details about the scores of those appealing for the aap program, but aren't interested enough in the news to be bothered to check any US news websites, all of which are reporting on the storm?

A lot of FCPS families travel abroad during the summer.
It's pretty ridiculous that the automatic assumption on this board is that the op is a random lurker from a far off land.

Many schools and school administrative offices were closed yesterday and again today. The central office often mails things later than scheduled anyway. You'll find out soon -- probably on Saturday actually, since AAP decisions always seem to arrive on the weekend.

Sorry did not know about the storm, we are out of the country.

If you're out of the country, then why do you care so about our little snowflakes' results to post on DCUM?

Yes, I'd like to know that as well. OP must be stressed out on the Riviera. Look at the post title. It SCREAMS IN ALL CAPS!!!!!

You have it all wrong.

Yes... OP is just a troll from overseas.
You see, there are European trolls, African trolls, Asian trolls... even Antarctican trolls... although, are there any bridges down there for them to hide under?

Wow! You guys are harsh. Maybe they live out of the country and are trying to get their child into AAP when the move here, OR maybe they are on vacation and are not glued to the tv or paper. Cut 'em a break! Jeez!

Hard to believe you're not aware of it. Even CNN has it on the front page.
Day 4: -- still 1.4 million without power.

Nothing yet - we did not have mail delivery on Saturday thanks to the storms. Probably sometime this week.
