As a wills, trusts and estates lawyer and in my experience, there are likely some issues that you are unaware of when dealing with things like what happens to your kids if you are incapacitated, guardians for the kids, and how to divide assets. Seeking referrals for simple planning for our young kids in the case of our demise. Anyone have a good DC lawyer to recommend for those purposes? And if there is no chance of broader family strife over the issue, is it necessary to hire a lawyer to do this if guardianship/custody is the only issue? Thanks.
