The hits at our beach house this year were cevichi and baked potato salad (potato salad with baked potato fixings).

This sounds gross. Crisco? Seriously? People still use that?

Don't use tortillas - use the larger, thinner, stretchier wrap bread. Is it called lavash?

Tons of fruit -- fill bowls with apples, tangerines, bananas, oranges -- when anyone says they're hungry, point to the nearest bowl.

I don't. I refrigerate them whole for about an hour, then cut. Use toothpicks if they feel they are unwrapping.

If you have an oven, these mustard batons are elegant and really easy to do with store-bought puff pastry.

I don't know if it appeals, but I do a bunch of roll-ups and cut them into "pinwheels." They are nice, easy snacks and I can make a bunch of different kinds. From savory to slightly sweet. Turkey, cheese, and guac in a spinach tortilla. Pesto, brie, and diced peppers in another. Or pesto, walnuts, goat cheese, tomatoes.

Spending a week at the beach with 20, including kids age 5-14. Any suggestions for easy snack recipes? We usually have fruit salad, pasta salad, spinach dip, and hummus. Looking for something new and fun this year.
