Meadow Farms...think fast-growing for inexpensive plants. Hostas are great perennials, and yes are generally inexpensive. Plus lots of varieties. For evergreens, Schip or Otto Luyken Laurels are on the cheaper side (usually about $15-20 per shrub for smaller shrubs) but are fast-growers and will look great year-round. Also do well in shade. Knockout roses are also fairly inexpensive an great plants for shade or sun.

I'm looking for a place to get plants for my garden -- hostas and other stuff for a few shady areas. What are some local places that aren't insanely expensive!?
