Toms deodorant doesn't keep my dd from stinking in the summer, and toms antiperspirant contains aluminum just like any other brand. I currently have her using Dove in the summer and toms (deodorant only) in the winter.

11 year old daughter uses Tom's deodorant (not the antipersp.), so she still sweats, but she's not stinky

My 12 year old uses Toms and it works fine for him. I just ordered this stuff and it works great for me and I have tried every non-aluminum product out there and found nothing that worked. Until this.

I have needed nearly prescription strength anti-perspirant and deodorant my whole life. I sweat ALOT. My mom would buy me some namby-pamby teen girl deoderant. Ugh. One of the reasons I got a job was so I could buy the Mitchum brand which at the time was the strongest on the market according to Cosmo. I just bought degree anti-perspirant and deoderant for my sweaty daughter.

This might just be a summer issue for my daughter, at least at this point, but she is just starting puberty and is needed to keep the sweat/possible odor under control. I am fine with letting her use deodorant but worry about the aluminum at her age. Is anyone else letting their tweens use regular a/p? Are the teen versions effective? I would love to start her with the natural stuff but, for example, Tom's d is separate from their a; it's not the same product. And the a doesn't have a safety rating.
